Lane County IMERF - A Net Negative for Our Community
After consultation with Onward Eugene about their economic development analysis, which was of limited scope, we decided to contract with ECOnorthwest to provide a fuller analysis, including cost and the next best use of the funds. We provided this information to the Lane County Board of Commissioner prior to their vote in December 2023 because we believed their decision on the $150,000,000 Lane County IMERF, is a 25-year commitment would need further information on the impacts on Lane County’s residents, businesses, non-profits, and stakeholders.
